Retirement Plan Administrator

We are a 44-year-old TPA firm with 19 employees seeking an experienced retirement plan administrator to add to our team. Most of our employees have long tenure and are ASPPA credentialed. Our company provides a friendly, flexible, and rewarding work environment. We will happily entertain working with remote employees.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a portion of work done by our team of assistants (including loan/distribution processing and trust reconciliation)
  • Census scrubbing and eligibility determination
  • Compliance Testing: HCE/Key determination, Controlled Group Analysis, Top Heavy, ADP/ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4), 404 and 415
  • Calculation of contribution allocations including many cross-tested variations
  • Self-Employment Income calculations
  • Reconciliation of plan trust assets and allocation of earnings to participant accounts (pooled and self-directed)
  • Completion of annual valuation and administrative reports
  • Preparation of required government filings, including Form 5500 series
  • Communicate with clients regarding plan operation and technical issues
  • Work and communicate with financial advisors, recordkeepers, financial institutions and accountants


  • 2+ Years of plan administration experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Experience with PensionPro, FIS plan documents, FIS/Relius administration software, and/or FT William 5500 filing processes is a plus    
  • Defined Benefit Experience is a plus
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines

We offer very competitive compensation with overtime pay. This is a non-exempt position with a pay range of $35 – $45 per hour depending on experience.
